Back to Zambia We Go…

Why did New Life Church choose Zambia as a mission field?

We chose Zambia because of our connection to Lazarus & Rachel Phiri. Lazarus and Rachel are covenant partners of New Life Church and serve with Pioneers; a mission organization based in Orlando, Fla. Pioneers was founded nearly 30 years ago and today has over 1,800 members serving on 188 teams in 84 countries among 130 unreached people groups. Lazarus provides oversight and leadership with Pioneers in North Africa and the Middle East. Rachel’s ministry revolves around her family, but she also finds time to teach at the Wives Program at the Theological College of Central Africa. While we will be visiting and staying with Lazarus and Rachel, the ministry needs we will be addressing are needs within their community which they have recommended. We are honored to be able to come alongside them and assist with the needs that are near and dear to their hearts.

This summer, a team from NLCH will be returning to Zambia to continue building our relationships with PLAEP (Pro Life Advancement Education Project), Lazarus and Rachel Phiri and the Brethren in Christ Church in the Copperbelt.

Vision for the Trip:

Our vision for the 2013 trip is to encourage the leaders of our international partnerships and assist them in their ministries to the community. We also look forward to what they will be able to teach us!

Dates of the trip: July 13-27th

The Team: Tammy Soles, Doug and Elaine Shenk, Andrea Kanode, Brandy Kanode, Greg Starr, Charles Starr
